Coming up in life at a child labor at the age of 10 the colorful personality BM Venkatesh carried many responsibilities in his life.
He entered the theatre activities in 1957 in Keerthisesha Gubbi Veeranna Company. He was supporting actor in the beginning. His looks resembled Akkineni Nageshwara Rao – so he changed his name to Venkateshwara Rao.
Coming up from scratch in life the prominent role of BMV was first in 1960. He played the role of eye donator in ‘Chandrodaya’ with Stalwarts like General Kayappa Padmabushan MC Modi, Balakrishna, Narasimharaju and others.
The innings in cinema of BMV started in 1960’s. In 1962 journalist Ha.Vem Gururaja Rao introduced him to Hunsur Krishnamurthy for ‘Veera Sankalpa’. The film activity went up in his life as actor and producer for many years.
